and maybe gets some invaluable advice or information about the cars or the hobby in general

THE  TRACK

        Surface - relatively smooth asphalt, suitable for both foam and rubber tyres
                       -most commonly used  40 to 45 shore, Foams

        Size       - Over 2 netball courts laid side by side with a back straight running the full length.

        Edges    - Mostly 100mm pvc pipe cut in half with plywood ripple strips on corners .
                      
    Layout   - We try to keep the track layout as consistent as possible as its helpful to use lap times as a tuning tool.

SLYFOX software is used for race control ( the same software used in the World Championships )
-  Qualifying and Finals results are uploaded after each round on the RESULTS page

* Regulations are kept to a minimum, and are only required for those in the Club Championship *
    You can run in as many classes as you like, though you must have someone to marshal for you
    if your running two heats in a row !!

NITRO OPEN Regulations - Maximum engine size .12 cubic inch, or 2.1cc

NITRO PULLSTART Regulations - Pull start or side exhaust engine only  - maximum engine size .15 cubic inches  * Generally road car body, but not required *

NITRO NOVICE Regulations - Single speed only    ( cars with 2 speed can simply adjust them    so they remain in one gear only ! )

ELECTRIC STOCK Regulations - Rebuildable Stock motors only

REGISTRATION -  9.00am
No registrations after 9.30am unless you call through first or prior arrangements are made.

Each person must have 3 sets of crystal frequencies ready when registering. Otherwise If there is a clash of frequencies that cannot be resolved you may not be able to run !!

PRACTICE - Is usually from around 9.00am or as soon as everything is set up

QUALIFIERS - Each class gets at least three 5 minute qualifying heats. From this your best heat decides your starting grid position in the final and also the Top Qualifier.

In the qualifying rounds you are only racing against the clock !! Therefore it is in your best interest  to leave a gap between other cars and allow faster cars to pass cleanly so that you can achieve your quickest times .

FINALS - NITRO 15 minutes
                  ELECTRIC 5 minutes
Start from your allocated grid position on the straight - The cars are put down 3 seconds before the starting buzzer and must not move out of the box until the buzzer sounds !!
Refuelling stops must be made in the pit lane and the car must be lifted outside the lane before the fuel is placed in. No fuel or radios are allowed on the track !!

MARSHALLING -
You must marshal after each heat or final you run !!
Your grid position is also your Marshalling position on the track !!
If you do not marshal you may be penalised !!

The Club Championship is over 12 months, and is divided into 2 six month series ( this is to allow for people who join through the year or for those who are improving and wish to move up to another class
As it may not be possible for everyone to attend every race meet, only your -
best 7 rounds - in each 6 month series and
best 14 rounds - in overall 12 month series are counted !!

POINTS -

QUALIFYING
The only points allocated for qualifying rounds is the TOP QUALIFIER in each class,
and this receives 1 Point
This is decided by your one best qualifying heat - ( most laps shortest time over 5 mins )

FINAL
A - Final receives 39 points for First, 37 second, 35 third, 33 fourth, then  1 point less for each place down to the last car
B - Final receives 29 points for First, 28 second, 27 third etc, down to the last car

As long as you enter the final and complete a lap you will receive points !!

PRIZES -
Trophies and Certificates will be awarded on Presentation Day (The Second Saturday in July)
